I was told ago by a man of old
Of a land full of gifts and treats untold
But they weren't built from silver or gold
But they weren't built from things bought or sold

And so I packed my possesions tight
And down the road with feet in flight
I travelled long through day and night
Through sad and glad and health and blight

And as I slept under stars of ice
I drempt of my poor children thrice
Once as young, Once as true
Once as died and finally through

And at the end of the road, I saw the man
With his heart in his hand and his head full of sand

And at the end he breathed and spoke with fear
And whispered into my quaking ear
That truth cannot penetrate one's head
Until one is truly done and dead

They burnt me at dawn, I drifted away, wise but unaware

(I wrote this as a break, otherwise I've been writing my take-home exam)

hi Ruth and Jenni

I've been wandering the streets all day with a briefcase full of resumes, got somewhere, and now my feet ache. I thus want to go to see "Pan's Labyrinth", chug a tropo slushie, and eat popcorn. Does anyone else want to go see "Pan's Labyrinth", chug a tropo slushie, and eat popcorn? I'm thinking sometime around 7:30ish at Southbank. I Was gonna invite Cushi and anyone else in Brissy aswell.

James out.

Two things.

The people at Coles-Myer turned down my application. But I guess I'll find work somewhere. I found something in the classified today, about spreading cancer awareness. Paid job. Needs 15 people, could be good. Can;t remember the number, but it was in todays courier mail classified section. I was going to sign up as possible work, but that leaves 14 places!!!!!!!!

And second thing. Are we meeting up on campus tommorow. which bus stop are we meeting at? The student centre one or the bridge one? Anyway, I'm really looking forward to tommorow. I wanted to go physicaly job hunting today but all the Bl**dy printers in the Bl**dy library don't work. Still, you feel better about not doing something if you know you could'nt.

I've almost got my cellphone number. I've installed the Sim card and now I have to wait a few hours but soon it will be functional!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyway, I hope all is well.

Hi Ruth, Raisa, and Jenni

How are you guys?

How have your holidays been?

I'm missing you guys and Brisbane so much. Things are good in Atlanta. Still busy with the yearbook, which, happily, is getting somewhere fast. I took a bit of a photo-essay entitled "the evolution from walk to wheel": about America's severe dependency on cars. I'll get it onto our website as soon as I can figure out how. Also I have to learn to cook.

I got a email from my uncle and his girlfriend, they've given me the room for 150 a week, and they'll also pick me up from the airport so I can move in immediatley after I arrive. So far so good.

Something interesting thing I learnt today: you know those friggen expensive uni textbooks? Apparently the publishes claim that demand forces the price high. They did a experiment where a professor studied several courses throughout America with similar aims, etcetera, and produced a textbook that was black and white, with no unneccesary pictures or diagrams. It also explained things in the shortest and most concise way possible (but still informative and understandable). As a consequence, the price was half the average cost of a textbook.

Apparently it did'nt sell and wasn't recommended by professors because it wasn't attractive enough. But I think the average student would be willing to have a less attractice book if it meant a lower price.

Anyway, once again I hope everyone's good and that life is treating yall well

Hi Ruth, Raisa and Jenni

This is a wierd message, but I'm really happy
I've found some accomodation for next year. My uncle and his girlfriend are renting me a room in their house for 100$ a week.
It'll mean living with a couple (which can be slightly awkward), but its sorted and the place is near the green bridge.

Anyway, I hope you guys are having a good break, I'll see you guys soon

I was wondering if someone could please help me,

My old computer recently crashed. I had a large amount of songs in itunes on this old computer, and the music was also in my ipod.

So now I only have my music on my ipod and I wanted to transfer all my songs back into a recently purchased computer. Problem is, I don't know how to do this. I know there is some kind of program that allows you to transfer your music from your ipod into itunes, and if anyone knows what that program is, I would greatly appreciate if you could tell me! The people at the Apple store weren't helpful, and I know that the program I need somehow bypasses itunes, but thats all I know.

Thanks, James

Hi People
I was wondering if yall could help me

I'm looking for a room for rent, in a share house, somewhere near UQ. I'm starting the second year of my degree in journalism next semester. I don't know exactly when I'll need the room until, but I'm guessing I'd probably need it for a  year. If anyone knows of or has a free room, i would much appreciate it if you could please tell me. I'm a clean person, although not completely organised (New Years resolution: get organised), but I'm quiet and i'd like to think I'm a likable person. I don't mind who I'm living with so long as they aren't permanent drunks (and I'm sure no-one is, but I have lived in a college that was literary soaked in booze, and it was hell on earth).

Any help in finding a place would be much appreciated,

Thanks, james
